High-quality “Annab” ( Iran Jujube) is from South Khorasan (Birjand). “Annab” is a wonder fruit! The fruit and its seeds are used in ancient Persian, Chinese, and Korean traditional medicine, which is believed to alleviate stress.
Jujube has traditionally been used for anti-fungal, anti-bacterial, anti-ulcer, anti-inflammatory purposes.
 Many folks believe that Iranian Jujube has sedative, antispastic, antifertility/contraception, hypotensive and antinephritic properties.
 Moreover, Iranian Jujube also has cardiotonic, antioxidant, immunostimulant, and wound healing properties!
A controlled clinical trial found the fruit helpful for chronic constipation. In another clinical trial, Jujube was proved to be effective against neonatal jaundice.
In Persian traditional medicine, Iran Jujube is used with other herbal medicines to treat colds, flu, and coughing.
Research suggests jujube fruit has neuroprotective properties. Jujube, being mucilaginous, is very soothing to the throat, and concoctions of Jujube have often been used in pharmacies to treat sore throats.
