Iran, which is a dominant Persian Dates supplier, is among the top three in the world and due to the suitable (hot and humid) climate in the south of the country, produces and exports Persian dates in huge quantities every year.

Germany, England, China, France, India, Russia, Malaysia, Canada, Denmark, Sweden, Ukraine, Japan, and many others, are the countries that import Dates from Iran.

Kerman, Hormozgan, Baluchistan, Bushehr, Khuzestan, and Fars are the provinces with the most annual production of Iran dates and are all located close to the Persian Gulf. Bam, a city in Kerman, produces the most popular kind of Iran dates, Mazafati.

Zahedi Dates:

Description:

Zahedi (Wet Zahidi & Dry Zahidi)dates can be considered as the most frequently used kind of dates fruit in Iran which is cultivated in Fars and Kerman provinces as well as Dashtestan city in Bushehr.

Sayer Dates:

Sayer dates is one of famous Iranian dates which about 40% of the annual share of Iranian dates exports belongs to Shadegan which is located in the southwest of Iran. It is used in various food industries such as biscuits, confectionery, vinegar, beverages and alcoholic drinks factory.

Shahani Dates:

Shahani Dates are most popular because of their color. It is mainly used for industrial use like paste production. These dates are cultivated in Jahrom,Fars province. And they are mostly exported to gulf countries.

Piarom Dates:

Description:

Piarom Dates(Maryam) Piarom Dates is one of the most tasty and delicious semi-dried dates in the world that is cultivated in southern city of Iran: Hormozgan province. The thin and soft texture of the date has a dark brown color and has meaty and succulent flesh. Piarom Date is a commercial date which due to having high quality and consumers’ satisfaction it has become the special export date.

Kalooteh Dates:

Description:

Kaliteh Dates or Kalooteh Dates are one other type of fresh dates or wet dates in Iran that is same as Bam mazafati date. Kalooteh dates have sweet taste, soft texture, large size, high shelf life (12 – 18 months) & package of retail /bulk and keeping condition at 0 – 5° C temperature.

Kabkab Dates

Description:

Iranian Kabkab dates is a wet Date which has a semi-dried texture, also it is long and dark . Kabkab dates planting areas in Iran are: Khesht and Kamarj areas of Kazerun in Fars province Dashtestan city of Borazjan in Bushehr province Behbahan city in the Southeastern of Khuzestan province
